\dagger is missing? #10

But this is not a math symbol, right? We currently don't support non-math usage, the font is not spaced for non-math usage nor there any kerning and so on, the fact we have some non-math symbols is mostly because Euler font had them. |
I think it is a math symbol. It is used to denote a conjugate transpose of a matrix or operator (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermitian_matrix), and is widely used in physics. |
Good point. |
Well, nowadays you cannot really say a symbol is not a math symbol. Mathmatitians tend to use whatever they see, and they have seen every symbols on earth. :-p |
Why can't physicists do math as mathematicians do and nicely use * instead of a dagger for adjoint (=conjugate transposed) matrix? Take it in, if the physicists need it and only use fonts, where it can't be confused for a + or t. ;-) |
I think the question is if * is used to denote adjoint, then how to denote a complex conjugate (without transpose)? Plus, dagger looks cool ^^ |
Hi, it seems that \dagger (U+2020) symbol is missing? It would be nice to add this commonly used symbol.
