Does the same count matrix with different cellinfo generates different result?

I am wondering if the cellinfo I have fed to scenicOption is involved in the process of SCENIC except for the plotting.
After going through all source code of commands, I could only find that cellInfo is used in plotting process but not the others.
I want to make sure if what I found is correct,
