Environment variables view is not updated after variable manipulation by response actions

Expected Behavior
Execute a request with a response action that either sets an empty variable or creates a new one and sets it. Then open the environment view/ editor to check that the variable has now a value (which is hidden though) resp. was created and has a value.

Actual behavior
The existing variable value is still shown as empty resp. the newly created variable is not shown at the end of the variable list. The view is updated only after toggling the visibility of the variables.
