[Enhancement] alternative reply frequency for group chats

I want to be able to set a general frequency for groups different to direct messages.

Personally for direct messages it makes sense to have response per message,
But on groups that would be spam behaviour so I would want to put it at 7+ days,
possibly even a month or longer

Had this issue with my mums work WhatsApp, some people went into panic mode and thought it was a hack. (Why?). Turned off group reply ages ago, My mum now has said that its responded to a group chat even with the setting for group replys turned off. My mum did say that there was a 1 in red over the WhatsApp icon, turns out it's a missed call, so it may be a reason for watomatic for somehow auto responding to a missed call on a group chat. Any idea why @adeekshith this is on a android 7 Nokia phone.

Hi @Goldmaster 👋 There was an issue with WhatsApp wrongly notifying group chat notifications as direct messages a few times. We placed some safeguards in previous release and a few more improvements are not yet done. Will plan to make a release by next week. Hopefully that will make it better.

There is currently no way I can debug what exactly happened on your mom's phone though as we did not include any debug logging mostly for privacy reasons. But may be we should provide a way users can explicitly share debug logs when something like this happens.
