More guidance is needed on how to talk about a paper's philosophical position. At least the following positions should be defined with some advice about where they apply:
Realism (both scientific realism and critical realism)
Pragmatism
Interpretivism / Constructivism / Postmodernism
Critical Theory (as in the philosophy underlying action research, not critical realism)
Positivism, Falsificationism (defunct positions that should not be used)
