Note that often when Bing Chat is 'going off the rails' are after fairly long discussions. This is probably because the models have a context length that they are trained on, any beyond that context length, the attention model is likely to forget earlier items. So these longer conversations are exceeding the context length the model was trained on, and the initial directions on how to behave are forgotten. Right now most maximum context lengths are 4096 tokens. A token is usually about 3/4th of a word so 3072 words. (hidden prompt is 772 words + user prompt + Bing Chat responses) so total conversations can only be about 2300 words before the responses are likely to ignore its instructions.

I was able to get it to do ~30 pages worth of decently complex math (relativity calculations) yesterday with some error, and some overflow, but it was remarkably close to correct on most of it.
It did much, much, better than ChatGPT on harder technical questions and calculations, it was not [even] close. (i.e. it was much better than the "doubly jailed" offline version).

Update to that only: it is a MSA bug, nothing serious. I you install a new interface, or e.g. Edge Canary or Dev, it treats you as a newbie and makes you "join the list". Upon refresh or like, you still get the Bing enabled account.
