same here complete crash atom and even my pc (mac) on latest version of everything.

Same here. When I monitor memory usage using top -o mem, I see that very many Atom Helper processes get started.

Ran into the same problem !
I managed to get an error message when I tried to install a second time though :

@GaetanQucit Try clearing your apm cache and installing again, it seems the files are corrupted
