Brief description of the issue

Service borgs can't use their gripper to set picked up objects down on tables. To set something down they have to climb up on the table right click the gripper and activate drop item.

What you expected to happen

To be able to set picked up objects down.

What actually happened

I am unable to set things down after picked up.

Steps to reproduce

Pick up an object
Try to set it on a table

Code Revision

  • (Found using the "Show Server Revision" verb under the OOC tab.)

Anything else you may wish to add:

No rush honestly as I have seen no one else use a service borg other than me.

This is an issue for all borg grippers, honestly.... Always need to use the drop item verb.

For service specifically, the work around is using the tray, you load items onto the tray, then click on the table to dump them all out. Grippers are kinda janky to work around over all borgs as TheFurryFeline points out, but I always considered it part of the drawback of playing a borg, since you don't have hands in exchange for have all your tools at all times and well, borg access and responsibilities.

if I recall Aurora cleaned up gripper code a lot making items place-able on tables and such just overall much more like real hands. Could be worth trying to work on are sever if someone was up for the work.
