We should decide whether to report trophic coherence or trophic incoherence.

Coherence = directedness (the emphasis of our paper) and sounds nice... may be an argument for reporting coherence?

For discussion.

This means reporting the statistic is 1 - incoherence?

I have to say that it does sound more intuitive. However, there is also something to be said for sticking to its original meaning. I feel like Robert should also weigh in here.

I think a strong argument for keeping it as it is now is to recognize the conceptual background of this concept (as described in your paper). Also, as we discussed before, you can probably keep coming up with different names depending on the context.
