<p>Wikidata 地方學專題聚會，是第一個 Wikidata Taiwan 社群的主題性編輯聚會。在 2019年末由幾位對於地方學有研究興趣的參與者與社群共同討論後，發現地方學資料以結構化方式呈現的比例非常稀少；使得臺灣雖然有大量的地方學資料釋出，但是在結構化領域上卻依然從缺，因此在經過籌備後決定以地方志為主要參考書目，搭配實體走讀等活動所產出的數位媒體檔案，將地方學資料轉進 Wikidata 與相關維基姊妹計畫。透過這樣的方式擴展地方學研究的可能性，也能透過結構化的方式創造資料應用的新想像。</p>
