description: |
Base snaps are a specific type of snap that include libraries and
dependencies common to many applications. They provide a consistent and
reliable execution environment for the snap packages that use them.

The core22 base snap provides a runtime environment based on Ubuntu 22.04
LTS (Jammy Jellyfish).

Other Ubuntu environment base snaps include:

Using a base snap

Base snaps are installed automatically when a snap package requires them.
Only one of each type of base snap is ever installed.

Manually removing a base snap may affect the stability of your system.

Building snaps with core22

Snap developers can use this base in their own snaps by adding the
following to the snap's snapcraft.yaml:

  base: core22

Additional Information*

description: |
This snap provides the GNOME 42 stack to other snaps that use it. It shares
the base GNOME libraries and desktop integration components through the
content interface. This helps reduce the size of snaps and helps developers
to easily snap desktop applications.

For users

This snap is automatically installed and removed when needed. Manually
adding or removing this snap is not recommended
and might break things.

  • If you are having issues with snaps using GNOME, please contact the
experts on the Snapcraft forum: https://forum.snapcraft.io/
  • If you want to install the GNOME Desktop Environment, then you are in the
wrong place. Please take a look at https://www.gnome.org/ for more
information on how to get it.

For developers

  • The gnome extension is the recommended way to use this in your own
    snap: https://snapcraft.io/docs/gnome-extension
  • You can report issues with this content snap on GitHub:
    https://github.com/ubuntu/gnome-sdk/issues
  • The source code of this snap is available on GitHub in the

I have just upgraded from Kubuntu 24.04 to 24.10.

The problem described below exists in both the following versions of Warzone:

Warzone 4.4.2 2024-07-29
Source:Ubuntu repo

Warzone 4.5.3 Built 2024-09-13
Source: Snap Store

Following this upgrade the view window does not scroll down when you move the mouse to the bottom of the screen.
Mouse to left edge >> view moves to left
Mouse to right edge >> view moves to right
Mouse to top edge >> view moves up
Mouse to bottom edge >> no effect

Were you using Wayland, and does anything change if you switch to an X11 session?

Yes, I’m using Wayland where it is broken. On X11 it works.

Wayland in general is broken, use X11 session. I have it working perfectly in KDE Neon.
