Seems like this cookbook is no longer being maintained. I use it extensively and am willing to take over ownership.

If @chrisa isn't able to transfer it, I will fork it and start from there.

I forked it here: https://github.com/rtkwlf/chef-x509. I hadn't really publicized it yet since VendaTech was trying to work something out, but I haven't heard back. Since there's a PR outstanding now I will continue on with that fork. I still need to figure out the naming sincet he chef supermarket uses the cookbook name 'x509' and that's already taken by this version. Suggestions welcome.

Thanks for your (not yet merged) work on this cookbook. chrisa no longer actively maintains it but I can test your PRs. As the PRs are quite old, would you like a chance to update the PR with any newer code before I consider merging?
