No app defined to open URL "about:blank" - warning

Hi guys :)
After months of issue-free usage of Chitchat, for which I would like to thank all of you, I have something that annoys me :(
Every time I open Chitchat and also every time I open the emoji overlay, I get the warning that no app is defined to open URL "about:blank".
I really don't know what calls "about:blank" and wants to open it...?!

Has anyone the same issue or an idea how to solve it?
I already deleted ~Library/WebKit/com.samstone.Chitchat but I did not resolve the issue.

Safari Technology Preview set as default browser

An option would be if sb can suggest an app that uses Safari as user agent (since most WhatApp web clients use Chrome(ium), which triggers my Nvidia graphic card (MBP 2010, 15"))
