Guide Chatbot (CometGPT?)

This is more of a wild idea for the moment.

TL;DR: think Bing with chat-based search but using posts and comments on Reddit as the data source.

Here's a proposal:

• Use the Reddit API to scrape data from r/utdallas
• Preprocess data
  • Perform entity recognition
  • Store conversations in a structured dataset
• Train a large language model based on preprocessed data
  • Training objective is question-answering
• Create a page in the Guide to query large language model about student opinion and answer questions
