One final maintenance task you may need to complete with Amazon AWS is to delete your storage volumes from the deep learning assignment. Otherwise you may continue to be charged a few pennies per day even after terminating the instance. To do this:

  1. Go to your console
  2. In the left hand column, select Volumes under Elastic Block Storage
  3. Select any volumes appearing in the list in the main panel
  4. Click the Actions > Delete Volumes button

This should wipe out all history of your work and fully terminate billing. If you think you are still being charged for something after this, please let me know.
