Creating Overlays

The recommended tool is the overlay creator on the Themezer website.

1. Open the tool above.
2. In section 1, Select your layout in the 'layout' field
3. Select an option your want to apply to your layout json (optional)
4. Select a common layout (optional)
5. Click the button to create two NXThemes: one with a black and one with a white background.
6. Transfer the themes to the themes folder on your SD card.
7. Install one theme, reboot, take a screenshot.
8. Install the other theme, reboot take another screenshot.
9. Transfer the screenshots to your pc.
10. Now go to section 2 on the tool's page.
11. Open the screenshots in the corresponding fields.
12. Click the button to create the overlay.
13. Put the generated PNG next to the layout.json as overlay.png, or put it next to the value JSON file for your option.
