Adobe Premiere has its own XML format and a friend of mine has written code to parse it. I could ask if he wants to open-source it, as he's expressed interest but not sure.
Either way, this a format that is worth investigating.

Adobe Premiere Pro XML is actually based and derived from Legacy FCP 7's XML.
It is also somewhat relatively common (not all the time, but it happens) where 2 editors of different NLE (FCP and Premiere) are working on the same project.
