example of column name ambiguity warning

I love the best practices help and warning built in. I have found i wrote a lot of code where say within summize i wrote
"Total Sales = [Total Sales] which produces an ambiguity warning. Is there an example of where it would actually cause an error or incorrect results?
I have been changing by prefaces with @ .
