The app is pretty close to feature parity now, with the main drawback being slightly different playlist support, which I plan to expand on in 3.1 3.2 instead. I might call the first release of 3 on the main repo 3.1 already to avoid version number confusion since 3.0 releases are already present here.

Hi @StefanLobbenmeier,

Does yt-dlp-compose already have auto-updating feature for yt-dlp and the app itself ?
The youtube-dl-gui fork you've been working on had it and it was very useful, would love to see it in the new app as well.

Yeah it just got in. It’s very slightly worse on windows as in before on windows it would download and install for you automatically (afaik), now I just prompt the user for download of the new app version

The yt-dlp and ffmpeg auto update is in already, but actually much better because you can select the channel and also use local binaries.

Local binaries are especially important for ffmpeg on macOS because there is no arm64 build for it on ffbinaries.com

Great, I'm looking forward to trying a working Beta version for Windows.
Tried latest v3.0.42 on Windows and it just opens a white blank window with "Untitled" title

Not related but is dark mode being worked on or planned for this new app ?

Looks like you ran into #135, can you try again with the latest release?
