Freshwater turtles bury themselves in the winter, which will likely compromise satellite positioning. Would the trackers continue searching for a signal during this period (with the risk of draining the battery), or can they be configured to deactivate during the winter months? |

The trackers do not search for signals on-device, but will still record data during winter months, filling up the on-board memory with "useless" data. If you would like to change this, you need to tweak the program code yourself. |
