Search: suggestions do not display after scrolling browser window

Steps to recreate:

1. Navigate to the Developer Portal (https://developers.sitecore.com)
2. Type in a search term in the search box (e.g. xm cloud or xDB). Suggestions show.
3. Without clicking on any of the results, scroll your browser down by grabbing the slider on the right side of the browser.
4. Scroll back up and then put your mouse cursor in the search box after the search term.

Expected: Suggestions should show.
Actual: No suggestions shown. Editing the text does not work. Need to change window focus to another tab or window and then come back to get suggestions working again.
