Then there has to be something wrong, cause my PoGo tells me to wait for an update, and I installed it a few days ago. Yesterday it started telling me to wait for update.

Yes but it keeps shutting down

WanderingJesusFreak commented Nov 22, 2016

That's because there's been another update in the official app. In order to try to protect your account from bring banned, the pogo team keeps it from running until the api is updated and integrated into the pogo app. Remember, all their time is donated and Niantic actively updates the official app in ways that frustrate Pogo development efforts.

@danielnevellls please close this issue. They keep it open when its physically possible to play without getting banned. You could always wrote your own app and get banned for using an old API any day :P

We should have an auto-updating API. This will help out a lot

yeah great idea. Why do we even develop stuff if it could just be donne automatically? Why haven't we done or thought of this before? /s

You should consider that Niantic has "added"(better "unlocked") Ditto in the last update, so, maybe, this is the problem.

@Erableto It seems that we might have ti wait for the next update as that was what happened last time

The last update has been installed automatically... So try from time to time !
Thanks for the good work done by devs!

@danielnevellls I agree with you ;). So, we have to wait...

@danielnevellls

@Erableto have to wait until new update from official app

Anyway I hope the devs find a more permanent solution to this API soon

Lavince commented Nov 27, 2016

@danielnevellls there will never be a permanent solution as long as niantic keeps CHANGING THE API. Like they do it specifically to screw with 3rd party developers and bot accounts.

We have a really big problem. Niantic is going to add Generation II to Pokémon GO in December 😱.

@Jehu147

Jehu147 commented Dec 3, 2016

I prefer that Niantic add it and wait a month instead of they crack the api and Niantic add the second generation and we wait more
😣

Kao90 commented Dec 5, 2016

it is really annoying to crack api's after 1/2 months and to be changed by Niantic 2 days after they have been cracked.
