The mouse can’t control the cursor anymore once the game has started. And it’s all because of you, Vanguard!

I have the same issue. Can't play anymore :( I also tried with Parsec, same problem.

Same issue here, after vanguard update mouse is stuck in the center of the screen whenever game starts. Even alt/tabbing out does not free the mouse

as a linux player, Vanguard took away for me the ability to play LOL locally, and now i just discovered that i can not play the game even with a remote machine... just awful...

Sadly, i don't think we'll get any support here... Look at the latest open issue, it's been weeks, and it hasn't been moderated...

There is also some 4 years old issues that never got answered.

And to be honest, i don't think they care much about people playing on a remote computer.

A good anti cheat system should not prevent players who do not cheat to play the game. This just prove how garbage Riot Vanguard is...

I'll try to contact Riot Games support. But i have very little faith.

I'm not buying any more skins until I can at least rdp into my machine and VLAN it or run it in a vm. So long as I have to have invasive software on my PC I am avoiding this crap. Fix the mouse input please... Till then im out! In the meantime I plug a second mouse and keyboard into my headless gaming rig i use sunshine on too.

I'm also experiencing this issue.
If anyone has workarounds, please share.

Using a USB server like VirtualHere is not a perfect solution but it gets the job done for now. Still not seamless as you need to enable/disable the mouse in your client if you want to use the host PC at the sametime, but it gets the job done until something gets changed.

I made this recently if this can be a help.

You can do it too! Take the step and install your favorite distro. Ditch the shackles of Michaelaoft

How can I fix the polling rate and delay on the mouse? My mouse disappears and the dpi is completely misconfigured, thank you very much for the program, if can fix this I will be very happy <3

I'm always jealous of workstation Linux users lol I hope so too Not much of a project it's just a basic script with instructions.

also one more think.

I'm having some problems connecting to the mouse remotely, the mouse connects and disconnects at the same time. If you can help, it will be of great help, this is to make my job a little easier. ^^

This is still a problem. I already didn't want to play League since they dropped Linux/steam deck support. Friend convinced me to install it and can't even stream it remotely from a Windows machine because of this issue. The game itself already causes enough rage issues - don't need this unnecessary technical bullshit on top of it. Completely kills any desire to play.

Just thought I’d share my current workaround for avoiding a USB server: I use a second mouse plugged directly into the machine running the Sunshine server.

This setup works for me because my Sunshine server (Windows) is physically next to my host machine (Linux). I rely on Moonlight primarily for keyboard input and video/audio streaming, while the separate mouse handles input for starting up a League of Legends game.

Naturally, this approach falls short for truly remote scenarios—I can’t play Vanguard games remotely—but it’s a decent compromise ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
