Also, you may want to update your firmware flashing instructions when using NodeMCU. You have to hold down the BOOT button when plugging the USB-C cable in and it held down until the firmware flashing process begins. Otherwise, it is unable to be connected to be flashed. Took me hours to find this out after reading https://randomnerdtutorials.com/flashing-micropython-firmware-esptool-py-esp32-esp8266/

Also, you may want to update your firmware flashing instructions when using NodeMCU.
