The RQVAE module is extremely difficult to optimize, as the method is sensitive to parameters and highly prone to causing ID codebook collapse. On academic datasets, due to their small size, debugging is relatively easy; however, on industrial-scale datasets, it is unstable. Currently, nearly all recommendation papers mentioning RQVAE treat the optimization of RQVAE as confidential information. Regrettably, they have not discussed in detail or open-sourced the technical details.
