Today the releases are not tagged with version number. As a user, I need to look at the source code to find out what methods are supported (since there is no API reference). But it's really difficult to find out which commit corresponds to the version of qiskit-ibm-catalog I have installed.
Take the main Qiskit repo, for example, each release is tagged with a version number (e.g. 1.2.4), so I can easily find the source code for a specific version. Each release also comes with release notes to help users migrate to the newer version.
