Fill missing efficiencies #45
Comments
Hey @NathanKalt, yes this is due to the lack of data in the data sources (and/or men power to gather the data) |
Thank you!, I'm sure there is a way to calculate it or estimate somehow. Some extra research is needed, let's stay in touch |
@NathanKalt In my project I needed Efficiencies as well so I implemented a series of scripts to estimate the conventional power plants based on the available data using different regression methods: https://gitlab.com/dlr-ve/autumn/-/blob/master/autumn/scripts/proxy_efficiency.py I have yet to generalize it a little so It can be used independently from my tool but if you are willing to dig into it this may inspire you to find your own solution. To be quite honest, I really doubt completing data this way can be significant but I have yet to test this but it brings consistent results that seem to be better than assigning random values. You can see the effectiveness of the different methods in my master thesis page 31. https://elib.dlr.de/141619/1/2021_MasterThesis_Eugenio_CO2CostPotentialCurves.pdf |
I added a pull request #78 that could work as a solution to this. |
How to fill this data? From what source it should be taken?
