That would need changes to the underlying PV models. Right now the Huld model (I don't know about the Boefinger model) parameterises inverter efficiency directly into the parameters.
In principle I do not see any reason which would prevent us from seperating it, given the right solar panel model.
Almost all new PV plants in our region have a DC-AC ratio of >1.15, and therefore not modelling this results in increasing inaccuracies. As a quick fix would it not be possible to clip and rescale the power and CF outputs as follows:
For example assuming 100MWac plant with DC-AC ratio of 1.15, means 115MWdc
Set plant size to 115MWdc (AC specified * DC-AC ratio)
Output power >100MWac = 100MWac
Rescale capacity factor to be based on 100MWac not the 115MWdc
Can we do that?
This can be beneficial to reduce variability, cut peaks....
