What is this?
The non-negotiable filters are filters set on a user profile to lock in the very bare level of what you’re looking for.
What is this for?
This feature helps prevent the system from showing the user any user that doesn’t match the non-negotiable filter. Example, if someone is only looking for a Man that is >5’7” and doesn’t smoke, then the user would have a non-negotiable filters set for Man, with a height of >5’7”, and doesn’t smoke. The system would then block people that don’t meet their filter from seeing their profile and people that wouldn’t match would never see their profile.
This feature helps ever seeing someone who isn’t looking for you in the first place.
How does this work?
User would setup non-negotiables on their profile (optional to display on profile or not). This would lock their search filter options (grayed out, can’t modify) to their non-negotiables. Non-negotiables would lock people that do not have these filters set to see their profile.
