Original Idea from: #29 (comment)
What is it?
App verified photos are verified uploaded photos that are taken within the app. This process ensures the photo meets certain standards that everyone may expect. This could be to prevent people from falsifying pictures, ensuring no filters are applied to the image, and can confirm the picture was taken on their device.
How does this work:
When adding photos the app could have a selection to take an app verified photo. This would open up the camera within the app that has basic functionality (focus, portrait mode, 1:1 / 16:9 picture formats). When the photo is taken, they will have the chance to review and upload. There should also be a notifier to people letting them know that is is a verified picture (tag at the bottom), highlighted border, or something of the nature. When people look at the picture they could also verify additional details about the picture like when it was taken.
Features of idea:
-Timestamped photo
-Verification that the photo was taken using their device within the app
Potential flaws:
-People taking pictures of a different picture (notify user that this is against the rules before uploading/taking photo?)
