I realise there is no support for bitstreaming yet, but playback of HD Audio since 2e8a464 has regressed to being non-functional. DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD now only play continuous repeated "pop" sounds. Changing settings to disable DTS-HD/TrueHD capable receiver is a workaround.

Previous behaviour was to extract the DTS core for DTS-HD and playback TrueHD as stereo automatically.

DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD passthough has also regressed in mainline XBMC. Please disable DTS-HD/TrueHD capable receiver settings for now.

I tested RC3 and this is still regressed - is this also the case in mainline?

play using dvdplayer and these will work, there's some regression in mainline with SoftAE and sample rate conversion and buffer size that effects paplayer but not dvdplayer.
