Where Was I?

Is this the question you ask yourself when you watch a movie or series on a site where your progress is not stored or synced between your devices? Fear not! Where Was I? is a simple script you run on your devices with tampermonkey or violentmonkey. To work across multiple devices, a server needs to be set up, the server.js in nodejs. I am providing such a server on https://api.phma.dev/WhereWasI. If abused, it will be shut down.

How do I use it?

Follow the guide that suits you!

iPhones:

Sorry

Android:

You have to use Firefox Nightly and add a custom addon list as of writing and then you can install the script as you would on a computer

There seams to be an error in 2.13.3 that scripts are not showing up and executing. A temporary fix for this is to use the kiwi browser or install the updated plugin via the firefox debug tools.

Computer:

Install violentmonkey and then install the script. Either host your own server (the server owner can see how many users there are and what sites they are using as well as where they are) or use the one I provide: https://api.phma.dev/WhereWasI. Put the link to the server as the SERVER_URL in the script. Choose a username and set that as the USER in the script. Remember to use the same username on all of your devices and choose something unique and hard to guess, as anyone with it can get where you were. Please only use [a-zA-Z0-9] for the username. Other characters might not be supported. As stated before, if abused, it will be shut down.

Add the sites you want with @match lines and remove all other text from that line.

It is not by any means perfect, sometimes you might have to reload the page for it to load correctly.
