It appears in newer Ubuntu/Debian that beignet is no longer available as a dependency. Is this actually required for Intel GPU acceleration?

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34370191/opencl-on-linux-with-integrated-intel-graphic-chip I haven't tried but this points towards a newer library which should be available as intel-opencl-icd.

If this package works for you, let me know and I'll update the README!

I know its been a while, revisited this on Mint 22 (Ubuntu 24.04 based) and yeah intel-opencl-icd exists, and I could build successfully (with Intel GPU acceleration working) against my new OS version with your makefile and README directions!
