scala-chart is unable to produce TiKZ charts. I think TiKZ is really good for charts because it takes care of using the same conventions (fonts or line width for instance) as the paper it's embeded in. Moreover, using the right tool for a task is a good way of doing, I think.

Ok. Thanks for the info.

The main purpose of this issue is to store this link to scala-chart, which seems to be an interesting library and a possible alternative to produce charts in the distant future. (I myself am not proficient in Perl and TiKZ (yet), and future developers of Skeptik might not be either). But I consider this as low priority, and as long as we can continue doing charts with what we already have in Perl and TiKZ, I think this should be the preferred solution.

Perhaps I should have stored this link in a wiki-page instead.

By the way, I suggest you create a feature request issue in scala-chart's issue tracker, asking them to output TiKZ charts too.
