Informative: 3-phase system for forcing migration to WATT

People are stubbornly refusing to switch to WATT. I don't want to just redirect people straight away because there are some legitimate reasons to still use gunn.app, such as as a reference for new apps, for historical purposes, and to export user data. Also, redirecting within the app won't help WATT be installed as a PWA. I want this to be very aggressive, but I have to be mindful that teachers use gunn.app too.

Phase I

Phase I involves adding a simple message. I accidentally left a typo in the schedules for Tuesday through Thursday.

Instead of fixing it, I'm using it as an opportunity to advertise WATT.

It is light theme for dark mode users to attract attention.

Phase I is currently already live.

Phase II

Phase II will involve adding messages of similar design in a more extreme manner. I think I'll add similar messages before/after every period, so it'll just be alternating between "Period 3" and "Use. WATT. Now."

The messages will be more generic since other periods' times are fine. Maybe they'll say what nice features WATT has, like the periods around the clock or the updated staff schedules. It could also just be messages like "WATT is asbestos-free" or "free of Russian influence" (as to suggest that these may not be the case for UGWA 👀). They could also just roast the user: "Your unwillingness to keep up with the times explains why our society lags behind ."

Phase III

If needed, we can extend into Phase III, where some horror elements are introduced to scare people away from UGWA. idk
