With the release of discord forums, we should transition to using them to provide support. They allow for better triage, less clutter, and also better searching.

Ideal features to be added:

  • Automatic replying to opened threads. Possibly with a default reply snippet. (To auto request diagnostics?)
  • Auto-close threads after a certain time period.
  • Auto-tag based on key words (windows, linux, macos versions. wacom, huion, etc.)

It appears the version of serenity that we currently use does not support forums, however the development branch appears to support it since serenity-rs/serenity#2298 was merged.

Not sure how to (elegantly) switch to using their head branch, although not sure if that's a good idea anyway.

We are on a version that supports forums now, (switching to next was never hard anyway I've done it numerous times now (next is actually stable and improves a lot of things, do recommend if we ever need to go down that route again)), but we haven't really gone ahead with the support forum idea and I'm not sure if we ever will?
