Develop a mobile experience for children to engage, share, and learn about America’s public lands and waters. Potential features could include:

  • Kids can track what parks they visited (e.g. geolocation), see previous visits (e.g., pins on a map) and include gamification with a rewards system (e.g. badges)
  • Kids can access certain relevant social media trending feeds while at a park that enable them to connect with other kids and share their experiences (e.g. photos, tweets)
  • RIDB data can be enhanced to provide more information, targeted specifically towards children
  • User-generated data from mobile experience can enable staff to better understand and respond to visitor interests, feedback, difficulties, park alerts, etc.
