Test this app on these wifis:

  • Starbucks
  • My gym
  • My neighbors
  • Local church
  • Public library
  • MIT (open, no auth)
  • MIT SECURE (security up the wazoo, EAP)
  • Find an ENTERPRISE setup - ask NecSys (Will G).
  • Bagel shop (captured portal)
  • McDonalds is a captured portal?
  • A second pi zero running this app!

Test using various laptops (windows, mac, chromebook) and phones (iphone, android).

  • Worked using an iPhone 8 (latest iOS) connecting a RPi zero to a verizon WPA2 wifi router with a hidden password.

  • Worked using a macbook (latest OSX) connecting a RPi zero to a verizon WPA2 wifi router with a hidden password.

  • Worked connecting to MIT SECURE as an ENTERPRISE security model.

  • Worked connecting to MIT as an open, no auth required mode.

  • FAILED on a captured portal (Bruggers bagels). User never saw the site's portal screen, then auth timed out and we acted like it was an auth fail (it was) and started our hot spot again.
