Overview

As a potential customer of the OpenATO product, I need a consistent UX experience so that I will trust that the product will make my work easier.

As a designer, having set design standards will make my work more efficien, consistent, and easier for developers to implement.

Problem

We're starting from scratch here

Solution | Goal

Establish visual design standards for the OpenATO product, including

  • color palette
  • typefaces
  • styling for labels, text, microcopy, etc.
  • overall look and feel
  • ??? [refine further with a designer]

Document these choices somewhere [is that another ticket] in Brand Book

References

Use USWDS for consistency with other government products

Acceptance Criteria

  • Design standards comply with accessibility requirements
  • Decisions documented in Brand Book
