solution:

npm install crypto-browserify
edit line 23 in node_modules/twing/dist/es/lib/runtime.js to
***import { createHash } from "crypto-browserify";***

And please add package.json add ./ to ./dist

About the crypto error, can you please describe what you are trying to achieve? Are you bundling Twing in some way?

Interesting, thanks. What version of Twing are you using? The latest 6.x don't export classes anymore so I suspect you are using an older release:

Anyway, I replaced the crypto module dependency by the create-hash library and now the browser bundle works. GitLab is partially impaired so we have to wait for the release pipeline to deploy 6.0.0-alpha.4.

I suspect that CloudFlare disallow usage of eval or new Function - the latter being used by Twing to load templates.

I think removing or replacing some Twigjs-like components would be helpful, I don't use twigjs because I can't customize the Loader, can only render inline template

Official 6.0.0 release of Twing won't depend on new Function or eval anymore and will de facto be compatible with CF or any environment that disabled code evaluation. Performance should also be better. It will be available by the end of next week, as part of the first 6.0.0 beta.

So, good news, 6.0.0-alpha.5 has been released and now supports environments that disallow usage of new Function. The issue about it has been tracked there:

I tested this release within Cloud Flare and it works.

Previously, using 6.0.0-alpha.4, attempting to render a template within Could Flare runtime would fail with a EvalError: Code generation from strings disallowed for this context error:
