Webserver, nightly, Proud Warlords level at night:

Having issues with lighting where I can see an enemy's light radius in its entirety, but not the enemy itself. I left my save at an example, @ me on the webserver if you want to see.

Upon further experimentation, it looked like the enemies couldn't be seen at distances of 10+ regardless of day/night.

Having the same problem in current webserver nightly, in Angband in the "thar be dragons here" level; I can detect monsters within the detection radius no problem as far as I can tell, but with telepathy and normal LOS I can't actually see monsters 10+ dist away, even after lighting the level with clairvoyance.

Just ran across the Proud Warlords themed level in v1.4.5, same issue appears to be happening—you can't actually see enemies until they're much closer than your total LOS, though I didn't think to check exact numbers. Entirely possible whatever the problem is it's a code artefact from way back when.

Ye, this was deliberate in Oangband and I have never changed it. It was probably for efficiency reasons, so should be fine to remove now.
