I attempted to share my screen in a call and only got this error with double clicking the share screen button.
In the desktop app it refuses to stream anything and keeps giving this error.

I did try to unplug one of my monitors, but the issue is still there and gives the exact same error.

  • Using Windows 11
  • Verified Email
  • (Don't know if it's relevant, but the browser version screenshare also does not work if you include audio on your screenshare. If the desktop version shares dependencies with the browser version, it could be that this is the issue due to the desktop sharing having audio included in all of the sharing.)

I just tried it out after updating. The error no longer appears, but the "choose window" button doesn't start the screen share still. It does not do anything for me at the moment. I tried using different quality and framerates for the stream, but that doesn't seem to affect anything. Nothing makes the choose window button do anything.

My friend just tried to stream though and it did work for her. She only has 1 monitor.

:(

Follow these steps:

  1. Start screensharing
  2. Open dev tools (ctrl + shift + I)
  3. Go to the console tab and send screenshot here

This is what is shows, it does not log anything to the console when I press the button from what I can see

This error appeared when I joined the voice chat, not when I tried streaming.

Strange, I have no idea :( can you try screensharing in your notes channel?

I just tried doing that, its the exact same as in a regular channel. Nothing is being logged in the console

cd %localappdata%/Programs/nerimity-desktop

Start screenshare and send me a screenshot from the beginning

I also unfortunately have to head off for today, but I will make sure to test any new solution as soon as possible! Thanks for the awesome work so far!
