Creating a guide and script to conduct user interviews:

  • breaking down the role of observer and driver
  • predicted time commitment
  • outlining user tasks
  • recording procedures
  • faq

Awesome - thanks! Some initial thoughts:

  • mention to users that they may need to zoom in to the small dots which are also capital projects (otherwise they might just pick a large section like parks or infrastructure)
  • the filter function on the new CPE is not fully built out, maybe instead of searching for projects by agency, have them search by community district

1st draft of pop-up message to add to CPE website:

Thank you for visiting our latest version of the Capital Planning Explorer (CPE) today!

Before you go, we'd love to hear your feedback. Help us improve your experience by taking our short survey linked here. Thank you!

@sallywuhoo Overall the messaging looks good! One important note is the product name clarification: CPE or CPP (Capital Projects Portal), I believe the current website is using Capital Projects Portal

hey @jessicashanshanhuang - thanks for catching that, I'll make that revision to the pop up! However I just saw the Alchemer survey has the CPE wording in it as opposed to CPP, should this be updated to CPP as well?

Let me know and I can fix that before sending this out to Tyler/team

@sallywuhoo Yes, it should be changed to have the same name. I believe the name hasn't been finalize for certain but to keep with consistency, let's stick with CPP as the hyperlink is capital projects and ui reflects CPP.

Also seems like the promotional email uses CPE and CPP interchangeably as well 🤔

Done and emailed to Tyler. Oof - sorry, that's my fault, I've been referring to it as CPE this whole time, but moving forward it'll be CPP!
