not working after reboot #151
Comments
Hold the menu and play/pause button for a bit, should restart it into the homescreen, give it around 15 mins for Kodi to install, not really worth it since you can’t load addons since its a really old version of Kodi |
Thanks. And this is the best jailbreak there is for an Apple TV3? |
I also have a A1469 with 7.9(8163) or 8.4.4. Blackb0x finds the ATV and say that the jailbreak was successful. Is there any detailed step by step manual?

same as @nils512 |
Nice project. I have an A1469.
I followed the instructions: connecting tv to mac, put in power plug. Then I click the jailbreak. I then get a pop up Done and to connect it to a TV and it should reboot automatically. I also have an ethernet cable connected all the time.
Now, when I connect to the TV, should I disconnect the micro USB? Do I switch off the power too?
I do get a iTunes screen with Apple restore on my screen and that disappears after a few minutes and the white light flashes.
I am on 8.4.4 according to blackb0x. Inside Apple TV setttings it said 7.9(8163).
Should untethered work here? tvOS 8.x untethered vs tvOS 7.x tethered is a bit vague.
After a while it boots back into a normal Apple TV, but then after reconnecting it to my Mac and Blackb0x it no longer says firmware 8.4.4. but recovery mode. No matter how often I reboot the Apple TV, it always says recovery mode.
Any thoughts if flashing still works? Or what I doing wrong?
I am running MacOS Ventura on a 2018 Macbook pro (intel).
I also tried MacOS High Sierra on a 2011 macbook pro.
