Hi,
The 557thWW (557th Weather Wing, USAF) just sent me
their manual for grib2 including their local extensions.
The github development model makes it easy for people
to add local grib tables to wgrib2. However, you should
set some policies for new local grib tables. A Brazilian
once sent me new ECMWF definitions. (He was using an ECMWF
model and had added his new variables.) So I had to make a
new policy that new/changes to local grib tables had to be based
on official documentation. So I suggest that a policy be
adopted and publicly documented.
