Did you use Xprivacy or whatever on this app? If so, disable it. Also try clearing app data. |

Ok i think i found the answer which i wouldve found sooner if i had read the README.md info on the webpage and it states: "The following features in the app requires it to be installed under /system/priv-app since some restricted permissions are required. One way to do this is to use App systemizer for Magisk. This way it can launch root daemon and not fail. |

I switched VPN Hotspot to system/priv-app and im still getting "failed to launch root daemon". I just installed version 2.16.4 from apkpure since its not available on F-Droid or anywhere else i could find and this fixed the root error. Do i need to switch this app to /system/priv-app still for it to work fully or is it good installed as is (user app)? |

Hi, running:
2.12.7
Android 11, Lineage 18.1, no GAPPS, Magisk, Edxposed, xPrivacy Lua.
I got systemize to handle VPN Hotspot with no errors.
However, clicking various things, (i.e. Wi-Fi-hotspot) from the top menu, I see "Failed to launch root daemon" so I'm thinking I may have missed something in setup.
Also, my goal is to have the phone route USB tether data over the VPN on the phone. What is the correct method for that?
Thank you!
