You cant end process

I have a problem where I cant end process with dd even tho im a root.

This happens with me too, but only with processes whose names are longer than what vtop displays, even when ran as root. In this example, I can't kill the processes named Isolated Web Co (Isolated Web Content), xfce4-taskmanag (xfce4-taskmanager) or gnome-terminal- (gnome-terminal-server):

The process names are cropped the same way in XTerm and tty.
