I have changed the font a few times and still having issues. If I remember exactly, suppose to be dots. Haven't used vtop in awhile. I am on a fresh install of Arch Linux. Using i3wm and Terminator.

I think this is a problem with your system itself. According to what I read on the internet, one needs a special glymph of that particular set of characters. BTW, I am having the same issue.

Launching vtop with a UTF-8 locale may help. See #120.

Resolved by adding the following line in ~/.bashrc or ~/.zshrc

export LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8
export LANG=en_us.UTF-8
