Overview over which images can boot from eMMC and/or USB #369
Comments
@MichaIng: Is this issue actual? Or will this be obsolete if we have a howto about running DietPi from eMMC or USB devices? |
Still a task, not sure whether even better to (additionally) add this to the download page. E.g. the Odroid C2 cannot boot from USB, but from eMMC and SD card only. |
Idea: Add a section in the Docs HowTo: "Booting from SD card, USB, eMMC, M.2" ContentsThe howto shall cover:
Hardware dependencyThe following SBCs can boot from USB:
The following SBCs can boot from onboard eMMC:
The following SBCs can boot from M.2:
@MichaIng @Joulinar @JappeHallunken : Could you please add the boards you know for booting from USB, eMMC, M.2? |
Most images can be flashed to eMMC and USB directly, but e.g. in case of RPi it depends on the model and RPi 3 non-plus needs to be programmes etc. So generally an overview would be awesome, to now which image can boot from where.
