[Bug]: Unable to unlock wallet on Firefox

I am unable to unlock my Metamask wallet (browser extension) on Firefox. I have a Windows machine and an Ubuntu machine. Both are having the same issue. Works fine on Chrome

We have found that users hitting this should be able to unlock after either fully closing all firefox browser windows and then re-opening, or going to about:addons and toggling MetaMask on and off. Let us know if that does not work in your case

I am having the same issue #29416 , restarting didnt really help, even after a full system restart.

Update: After few retries of restarting Firefox, then disabling and enabling the extension , it seems to work. This workaround is not consistent , sometimes taking few attempts for it work but it works for the time being.

I resolve this problem by update to the lastest verison(12.9.3)

I install this version by download zip from github release. PLS update the firefox addons store!!! @MetaMask @danfinlay

I am also having this exact issue on OS X. I see the same CORS warnings in the extension's console.

• Closing all windows and quitting Firefox doesn't help. I confirmed with Activity Monitor that there are no remaining Firefox processes running(though maybe there are some, I don't know everything to look for).
• Toggling on and off the extension also does not seem to help either.

The Firefox Addons store only has Metamask 12.6.2 available(though it says it was updated 1 month ago).

If I manually install a newer version(as @tyxlb suggested) would I need to reimport keys etc? Or would it essentially update the older version I have installed?
